Persimmon Cookies

Cream Together:
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening

Then add:
2 eggs
1 c. persimmon pulp

Then sift together:
2 scant c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well with electric mixer. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet, and bake in a 400˚ oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until done.
