Heat oven to 350 degrees
Combine:
1 1/4 c. butter
2 cups sugar
2 t vanilla
2 eggs
Add:
2 cups flour
1/2 t salt
1 t baking soda
1/3 cup cocoa
Use a small ice cream/cookie scooper, or a full teaspoon to spoon cookies onto the cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.
Frosting for the centers:
1/4 cup shortening
1 pound box (4 c.) of powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/4 t. vanilla
